1. Overview
PasspoPet ("the App", "we", "our") is an iOS application developed and operated by Anna Veretennykova ("the Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled within the App.
The short version: PasspoPet is local-first. All your data is stored on your device only. We do not operate servers that hold your personal information, there are no user accounts, and your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
By downloading or using PasspoPet, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Owner Profile
PasspoPet does not require you to create an account. There is no registration, no email address required, and no login. If you choose to enter an owner profile within the App (name, phone number, country, emergency contact, vet clinic), that information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
2.2 Pet Information
When you create a pet profile, you may provide:
- Pet name, species, breed, gender, date of birth, and color
- Microchip identification number
- Official vet-issued passport information
- Vaccination records and due dates
- Veterinary clinic name and contact information
- Health events, treatments, and vet visit notes
- Photos you choose to add from your device
All pet data is stored exclusively on your device. It is not transmitted to PasspoPet servers, not backed up to any cloud service operated by us, and not shared with third parties.
2.3 Technical Data
PasspoPet does not collect analytics or usage data. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs or tracking technologies.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, location data, account credentials, or data from third-party tracking systems.
3. How We Use Your Data
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, we do not process it on any server. Your data is used only by the App itself, running on your device, to:
- Display and manage your pet profiles and health records
- Generate PDF health reports for export
- Send local push notifications you have opted into (e.g., vaccination reminders) — these are scheduled on your device and are not relayed through our servers
- Process optional in-app donations through Apple In-App Purchases
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable under data protection law (including the GDPR), we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to provide the services you have requested
- Legitimate interests — to maintain the security and stability of the App
- Consent — for optional notifications, which you may withdraw at any time
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for any purpose.
Because PasspoPet stores all data locally on your device, there is no data held by us to share. The only limited third-party interaction is:
- Apple Inc. — for in-app payment processing when you make an optional donation. PasspoPet does not receive or store your payment card details.
6. Data Security
Your data never leaves your device. It is stored in the app's private sandbox on your iPhone, which iOS protects with device-level encryption (hardware AES-256) when your device is locked.
PasspoPet does not operate servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that holds your personal information. The security of your data therefore depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device updated and using a passcode or Face ID.
7. Data Retention
Your data is stored on your device for as long as the App is installed. Because PasspoPet holds no data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
To remove all data: delete your pet profiles and owner profile within the App, or simply uninstall the App from your device. Either action permanently removes all PasspoPet data from your device.
8. Your Rights
Because PasspoPet is local-first — all data is on your device and none is held by us — you already have full control of your data:
- Access — your data is directly visible and editable within the App at all times
- Correction — edit any record directly in the App
- Deletion — delete individual pets or your owner profile in the App, or uninstall the App to remove all data
- Portability — export your pet's health record as a PDF from within the App
- Withdraw consent — revoke notification permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings

9. In-App Purchases & Payments
- Optional tips and donations are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchases.
- PasspoPet does not receive, process, or store your payment card information.
- All payments are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
10. Children's Privacy
PasspoPet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, it will be deleted promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at support@passpopet.com.
11. International Transfers
PasspoPet does not transfer your personal data internationally. Because all data is stored locally on your device, no cross-border transfer takes place. The App is available to users worldwide, but your data remains on your device in whatever jurisdiction you are in.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the App before they take effect. The current version is always available at passpopet.com/privacy.
Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
